Help with playing BFBC 2 on public router access?

I just bought Battlefield Bad Company 2 but I am not finding any servers in Multiplayer.
I am playing off the bulding's router for internet access and can't manually open ports on it.
Is there another way I can join the multiplayer games on BFBC2?
